Le Manoir d'Amiel is a large holiday venue for weddings, special occasions, retreats, corporate events, and large group holidays. The house has been beautifully restored and comprises 16 bedrooms, mainly ensuite, and two large outdoor and indoor entertainment areas, there is also a heated swimming pool and a hot tub. Everything guests need to enjoy an amazing week, or two in the South of France.
The house is situated in the village of Villegailhenc, only ten minutes from the UNESCO World Heritage site La Cité and five minutes from the UNESCO World Heritage site the Canal du Midi. It can accommodate either 15 or 30 guests in one group (see our rates page for package details) and is a simply furnished, comfortable yet splendid vacation choice. Each group can relax and enjoy the property in complete privacy as only one group is ever booked at any one time.

OUTSIDE ENTERTAINMENT.
The Manoir is an oasis in a typical French village. Children will love playing hide and seek along the little paths around the garden, enjoy a relax or snooze in the hammock, play table tennis or billiards, use the swings, hang out in the large barn BBQ area, or sip wine in the courtyard, relax in the hot tub, hold events on the private terrace.
STEP INSIDE.
The Manoir is grand and spacious with air-cooling systems in all of the bedrooms. The basement entertainment area is a real gem. The Annexe is at the rear the Manor house in the courtyard and has reduced mobility access in one of the bedrooms (please ask when enquiring) as well as another large kitchen.
HALL.
Upon arrival you will be greeted by a spacious and grand, tiled entry hall with plenty of space for shoes and coats, doors to the various reception rooms and leading to the wonderful stone staircase with wrought iron railings which lead up to the upper floors.
LOUNGE.
Overlooking the grounds to the front of the manor house, tiled floor, marble fireplace, L-shaped sofa, 3-seater-sofa, 2 armchairs, large flat screen TV (+SKY), and Netflix.
KITCHEN & DINING.
Well-equipped with everything you could need for catering for a large group, including a range cooker, 2 dishwashers, 2 large fridges, microwave, 2 kettles, 2 toasters, 2 coffee percolators, blender, mixer, scales and ample provision of glasses, crockery, cutlery and utensils. A very large open-plan kitchen/dining room with table for 30, large wood-burning stove in an impressive marble fireplace.
THE BASEMENT.
Enjoy a get together with family friends or work colleagues in the 70m2 entertainment room. With a large bar and drinks fridge, huge home cinema with surround sound, dance area with disco lights, amp, and to top it all off a table football!
THE BEDROOMS.

THE GROUNDS.
The grounds are packed with areas to play and relax, perfect for young and old. With a large hot tub, hammock, plenty of sun loungers, chairs, a ping-pong table, darts swings and barbecues, there is something for everyone.
SWIMMING POOLS.
The heated pool has a brome cleaning system which is kinder to skin than chlorine and meets all safety regulations. The main pool is 1.2m deep to 2.2m with a shelf around for child safety, and ample seating/sun loungers have been provided. Children can also enjoy a splash pool with a little waterfall allowing them to jump and splash to their hearts content. Unattended young children and pets are kept safely out of the area by fencing and security gates
ENTERTAINEMENT & GAMES.
Le Manoir d'Amiel is situated in an incredible area in the South of France, with the Medieval Castle, and Carcassonne City within easy reach, guests will find lots of incredible activities to keep them occupied during their stay. For those looking to enjoy some games with friends and family there is plenty to do at Le Manoir d'Amiel from board games to children’s swings, pool table, table tennis, darts, petanque, croquet, and table football.
